My design plan - inspirations

Isn't this just wonderful? I love the vibrant colour scheme and its something I would like to incorporate into my magazine, except I will only have vibrant colours when highlighting key areas, I think overall I am going for a grey colour scheme. I love how part of the Masthead is in a different font with shows good creativity. I can automatically tell it is Mark Ronson without even reading the cover lines which makes it appeal to me. I like the simplicity of the layout, again something I think I will incorporate into my magazine. The bubble-gum pink background is interesting as it does immediately make me think it is quite feminine. The editor has clearly put a lot of detail and rooted thinking into the magazine design. The hair has being edited out using a program such as Pixlr, (a program I will use in editing my photos) which makes the image look retro especially with the glasses in a dark contrast. I love how the main cover line 'The accidental popstar' is in stencil type font, this makes it really edgy and not just stick conventionally to the idea of techno type fonts.

Andy Warhol

I am inspired by Andy Warhol's creations as I love the idea of pop art. This is like the example above of Mark Ronson. I think I am going to try an incorporate some time of similar creativity either in my contents or DPS.  Warhol was a American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement aka pop art. This zebra on the right has so much attention to detail which I love.

MixMag

Normally MixMag is usually contrasted with metallic colours and greys with some vibrant colours but one of the issues really stood out to me on looking like a piece of art. It is amazing! The two tone yellow colours in the background complimented with the fuchsia pink which introduced the artist 'pendulum'.
The image looked really creative while being placed in the foreground of the magazine cover. You can still see the original image in the background near the bar code which is really clever. I would love to do something like this but I don't know if I would be brave enough, because I want to stick to conventions how ever I am going to play around with pixlr to see what can happen!
I like the idea of freebies as it relates to giving the audience something they can have for free. I think I will incorporate some type of freebie e.g. win a chance to meet, or a tickets to a concert, but I want to be original! Maybe win a dj set and have the chance to play on tour with someone sounds fun as it would attract a lot of young inspiring people e.g. people who want to become djs.
