First of all i was thinking about using this as my main image. I was using the program Microsoft publisher and when i displayed the picture onto publisher, it didn't look right. Firstly my main critisim would be that this image cuts out the rule of thirds. This then made it seem less professional. Also in addition it again doesn't leave space for the left third at the bottom. The picture is not crystal clear either making it to 'dated'. At the top of the image, Sophies head is cut of slightly making it seem too slouchy.
I used microsoft publisher and decided this wasnt the program for me. I then chose word which was more suitable for me since it had a range of templates i could stem ideas from. I wanted to incorporate the red colours from southfield into the magazine so it could be recognisable and reperesentative. My masthead is called 'SSFG EXPRESS' and i put it at the side of the magazine to be quirky. I used a white colour sans serif font aswell to
stand out on the magazine. My coverlines are not all over the magazine but organised at the side. I have an advertisement at the top right of the magazine advertising 15 free housepoints when collecting the magazine.
I then decided to take some pictures of Zahra in the media room reading into a folder. The picture may of looked unprofessional, but i wanted it to appeal to the students to they could relate and engage in the magazine. I needed an iphone lead since i took it on my iphone 4 which i will upload later.
