This is my final cover page of my magazine. It took a long time in designing since I had to change it a numerous amount of times. It was hard thinking how I wanted to display my Masthead. Since this is one of the most important things on magazine designing, I decided to have my masthead in two colours of a sorbet yellow and hot red. I wanted to use these colours since i thought yellow connoted the idea of the sun and the red for the heart. This idea came from the electro magazine 'Electronica' of using two different colours. I I decided to use a grey textbox behind the masthead as i knew i wanted to incorporated colours like this as they were used a lot in MixMag. I didn't want to many cover lines as i thought this would be confusing and potentially ruin the image. My model had ray bans on since i wanted my magazine to retro, and i think my target audience (16-24) would like this idea since fashion in the 21st century has changed going back in generations. My sell line 'Bringing the nations beat to you' played on the pun of the 'Heart' at the end of the 'electra'. In addition i wanted my tagline to stand out so i put this in bright yellow.
